VITA

Tax filing made easy.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program provides free, reliable tax preparation for those who meet certain income guidelines.

IRS-certified volunteers can help you file federal and state tax returns, claim important credits like the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Child Tax Credit (CTC), and get your refunds quickly and safely.

VITA is designed to remove barriers. No fees, no pressure, and no confusing paperwork, so you can confidently file their taxes and keep more of what you've earned.

Learn how to volunteer or file your taxes through VITA below!

Tax season has begun, and our sites are active! Are you ready to file?

If your household earns $75,000 or less, we can help. Trained volunteers help prepare basic tax returns and make sure you receive any credits you qualify for, like the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).

Services are available by appointment or walk-in at locations across Davis and Morgan Counties during tax season. See the chart below to find your nearest site, hours, scheduling information, and the documents you'll need to bring!
