Food Bank

Providing Essentials, Supporting Families.

Our mobile food bank provides people with an emergency supply of food. We have now gone fully mobile, so you can drive up or walk up to one of our drop sites, and our team will provide your food after gathering a few details.

Please do not arrive before the scheduled time; we will not begin distributing early. Site locations are subject to change, but we try our best to follow the published schedule. Follow us on Facebook for notice of emergency changes.

*Open Doors' warehouse on Highway 193 is no longer a distribution site as of July 9, 2025. Please come see us at one of our drop locations!

PLEASE NOTE whether the site is offering drive-up or walk-up service, and plan accordingly.

We do not have bags to provide at walk-up service sites.

Distribution may be canceled or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Please check our Facebook page for emergency updates.

Want to run a food drive for us? Here's how:

By running a food drive with your family, friends, workplace, club, or congregation, you can help ensure that those facing food insecurity have access to nutritious meals when they need them most.

How to Begin:

  1. Coordinate with your family, friends, workplace, or congregation to plan and promote the food drive.
  2. Determine a collection timeline and location for people to drop off donations.
  3. Spread the word about your food drive through social media, email, flyers, and word of mouth to encourage participation.
  4. Collect non-perishable food items from participants, ensuring they are unexpired and in good condition.
  5. Deliver the collected donations to the Open Doors Layton Office (875 E. Highway 193, Layton, UT 84041), where they will be distributed to those in need.

Thank you for your generosity and willingness to serve others! If you have any questions or need assistance with collection boxes or organizing your food drive, please contact Jamie at 801-771-4642 ext. 115.

  • What can't Open Doors accept?

For safety reasons, we cannot accept food in glass containers. We are also unable to accept cans without labels, or home-baked or home-canned goods. Our funding requires that the foods we distribute have an intact USDA label.

  • Can Open Doors provide a distribution bin?

Absolutely! Open Doors can provide a large cardboard "watermelon box" for you to use and collect donations in. You will need to coordinate pickup from us, and drop-off of the collected food. Please reach out to Jamie at 801-771-4642 ext. 115 to arrange a box.
